Located in Beverley, East Yorkshire, Jack in the Box opened a 12,000 sq. ft indoor play centre in 2011 for children aged up to 12. Since then, it has been voted as the third-best play centre in the UK, and now hosts a range of fun activities for children.
With the onset of the pandemic, Jack in the Box were looking to upgrade their system so that it could cope with the high demand while also providing online ticketing options and capacity management to help with social distancing. Despite their existing system being robust, it was outdated and did not allow them to offer pre-booking on their website.
We replaced their existing system with VenposCloud and integrated the tickets & admission, events & facilities management, and our table ordering modules, offering different features that help them manage their venue more effectively.
VenposCloud helped Jack in the Box improve their user journey for visitors booking tickets, reduce queue times on entry, and prevent overselling which is very important on busy days. It also enabled them to regulate the visitor numbers, especially on weekends and school holidays. Over 50% of their visitors now book online and they have boosted their revenue by increasing upsells with the online food ordering app.
As a result of the implementation of these modules, Jack in the Box was able to go cashless, which helped reduce customer time at the tills and cut the time taken to cash up at the end of the day. Not only that, but they can also now provide a contact-free environment for their guests, and much more.
“Because of Covid, we went completely cashless as a temporary measure – but we will never go back! The extra fees from the card provider more or less balance with the savings on bank charges and cash collection fees. But the real saving is in the time and hassle! There are fewer mistakes, queues are shorter, and we no longer have the hassle of collecting and holding large amounts of coins for change. We even saved on insurance for not holding cash. The support given by Vennersys goes beyond just our attraction – the team is incredibly interested in hearing about industry problems and researching ways to improve and solve these problems.”
